This is the video for Claire Maguire- Ain't Nobody. I chose to look at this video as it is based in a natural space and that is similar to where I would like to film.
I really like this establishing shot as it is in an impressive location. The colours of the scenery fits in with the bleak and dark colours, such as the singer's clothing, that are in the rest of the video. It pans to the left to the right so the viewer can take in the surroundings, with a build up to the music just about kicking in.I really like this shot as it is a clever way to introduce the singer. The way it films a medium shot with a slow zoom in from the back allows the viewer to still get a sense of the natural environment by the back ground, while taking in the singer. The sharp cut to this shot with the beginning of the music works really well
I really like this close up of just half her face as it emphasises the words she is singing while the use of the wind creates a very good effect of blowing her hair to obscure half her face. I really like this effect with the wind as it creates a good atmosphere of nature and i would like to replicate it. The pacing of this cut was really good as it cut to it straight into the next line. It is things like this will need to consider will editing my video.I really like this long shot as i think the angle is really effective. The mountains still in focus in the back ground look really awe inspiring. The singer has a very ridged posture and the effect of the wind continues to work really well, being the only thing that creates movement in the shot.
This close up shot is almost completely obscured by her hair and you can only make out her lip syncing to the song. This adds interest to what potentially could be a rather basic shot. By panning around her, you get a better view of her face from different angles, so her hair is not covering up the same thing all the time.
I really love these extreme close up like in these shots. I think abstract shots of my actress' features would look really good in my video. There are even shots of just her hair in this video, which i think is really effect as it has so much movement in it.
I really like this close up shot, as the editing works really well with the music. Her foot comes down just as the music comes in. The angle of the shot being in line on the floor makes the shot more impressive.
I really like this birds eye view shot as before all the shots were extreme close ups of the scene and now you get a clear shot of all of it.
